The cruise was amazing. Honestly, I never really believe water of that color existed in the real world. The people were amazing, the sites were beautiful, and the service was a much-needed break. It was, in the words of Ferris Bueller, "so choice."
I highly recommend a cruise for your next vacation. It wasn't as expensive as I had thought it would be, and it's all-inclusive.

So the birthday was awesome. We had a bar-b-que and pretty much just hung out the whole night. I think I talked about most of it on myspace, so if you find that this is just not enough detail for you, you know where to find it! In addition to having all of my favorite people in attendance, I happened to receive several GREAT gifts. My parents got me a used washer and dryer, which were much-needed. You never think of that as something that you really need until you no longer have one. I also got a baseball bat (for the purposes of self-defense, since I am a single young woman living in an apartment. I wanted a gun, but what can ya' do.) ;) I was also given a Peter Gabriel greatest hits cd (which is a great album-you should get it)...and I got a bunch of movies, including Cool Runnings, Top Gun, and So I Married an Axe Murderer.
Speaking of Cool Runnings, I'm going to visit the beautiful land of Jamaica in 6 days!! I can't wait. We'll be visiting several locations, including the forested town of Ocho Rios. I hear there is a waterfall we can climb; talk about Caribbean adventure.
So I'll be gone for two weeks, but I will have tons of pictures to show ya'll when I get back. Have a lovely rest-of-the-month.
It seems that I've gotten myself a life, because it's been quite a while since I've even though to update. The only really exciting things though (if you'd call them exciting; I know I wouldn't.) are the massive amounts of homework and crazy movie watching. For the past month or so, I've averaged one a night-which, as you know, isn't a huge thing. The only difference is that I now kind of have a movie-watching partner, and we've been actually watching NEW movies. I know, I know, Kari is watching movies that she hasn't already seen 80+ times. It's actually quite refreshing. For now, anyway.
Other than that, I think I'm just trying to figure out what I'm doing..because, really..I have no idea. Life is extremely confusing right now, as it can be. There are quite a few things that just aren't going the direction I had wanted/expected them to go, so I'm learning again how to trust in God's timing, Pray for patience, because, right now, I just don't have any left.

hey ya'll. It's been a pretty good week. No sleep, but what's new, eh? Last night we watched Time Bandits and Surf Ninjas. They are both pretty amusing movies in very different ways. I'm not sure that either of them were meant to be amusing, but what can ya' do.
Time Bandits is a Terry Gilliam film that is very Monty Python-esque (which makes sense, since he was a big part of the Monty Python world.) The movie revolves around several midgets (yes, midgets) who are running from God, by travelling through time. Throughout their journey, they meet Robin Hood (this just might be one of the funniest movie scenes in history) and Napoleon.
Surf Ninjas, on the other hand, is one of those corny early 90's movies, which I'm sure is why I like it so much. The menu has an incredibly cheesy game on it, called "Pick That Flick," and let's just say that during the past few days, Ben and I have played it for at least a few hours. I must have WAY too much time on my hands.
In today's news, I got a tattoo..it's on my left shoulder blade. I absolutely love it. There's something to be said about designing your own artwork and then putting it somewhere permanent. I must warn you non-inked citizens, though. Tattooing is extremely addictive. This is my first one and I am already yearning to have another one done. All in good time, all in good time. If you ever decide to have it done, go to Garrett. He's the best.
New Year's was interesting. We were able to move into the apartment New Year's Eve. Since I didn't get off work until 5, we were only able to move the two couches, the tv, and the microwave moved. That, though, was plenty to have a New Year's party.
With the tv perched on top of the microwave's box (a tarp covering it to make it look a bit less ghetto) and the couches set in weird angles across the living room, we were all set.
Some friends and I went to get pizza and then watched some movies. We ended up falling asleep before midnight, sprawled all over the living room. So much for late nights in the new place, eh?
PS I'm pretty sure I met my future husband tonight. It's a weird feeling I have, so we'll see how that goes...
It's been a while. The craziness of moving has, unfortunately, not allowed much time for blogging. But, yes, I'm moving! Moving into my first apartment. Moving in with my first roommate. Moving away from the family (it's really only five minutes away, though, so it's not THAT far away.) I'm excited. It seems like we've been building up to this for months!
Marce is the new roommate. We've been talking about moving in together for what seems like years now, and we're finally going for it! We spent the last several weeks apartment hunting. Now, we just need to move in and decorate!
But first, I gotta' run. Got to get more moving boxes.
Oh, the fun.
This has got to be the best joke I've ever heard.
A blonde calls her boyfriend and says, "Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can't figure out how to get it started."
Her boyfriend asks, "What is it supposed to be when it's finished?"
The blonde says, "According to the picture on the box, it's a tiger."
Her boyfriend decides to go over and help with the puzzle. She lets him in and
shows him the puzzle spread over the table.
He studies the pieces for a moment, then looks at the box, then turns to her and
says, "First of all, no matter what we do, we're not going to be able to
assemble these pieces into anything resembling a tiger."
He takes her hand and says, "Second, I want you to relax. Let's have a nice
cup of tea, and then....." he sighed, "let's put all these Frosted
Flakes back in the box."
On a side note, it snowed the other day. It was beautiful! I don't usually like the snow all that much, but this time..it was a good thing.
